This week has SUCKED and it’s only Tuesday night. Well, to be fair yesterday wasn’t so bad. But today? Sucked.
So in an effort to make myself a little more cheery I thought I’d share some happy pictures.
A couple weeks ago was homecoming here in East Lansing home of the Michigan State Spartans.
The mighty mighty green don’t do anything small. Every game, every major sport, every holiday is big and green. And homecoming is no exception.
Alumni comes into town from all parts of the country to drink, relive old times, drink, watch football, drink and did I say drink? It works out well for the liquor store purveyors
Remember homecoming at your high school? It’s kind of like that. Only if your high school was in Dillon, Texas and the town lived and breathed football.
The parade was on Friday and the weather had just taken an unexpected dip into chilly territory. But we Spartans would not be deterred. I had a great time with the girls getting ready for the parade. Getting all our gear on and practicing our “Go Green! Go White!” chant.
Even after a 10 minute drive took nearly 40 minutes to get to our parking space behind the store. Ugh.
But we arrived and met with my in-laws Jiddo John and Teta Hilda to watch the parade. And though we missed the Marching Band
we didn’t miss Sparty.
The Man. The Myth. It’s Sparty.
He even comes with his own Security Forces. Too funny.
As you can see Cedella was beyond impressed. Have I mentioned she’s been giving some major teenage attitude lately?
A lap full of candy and Sparty and she was totally unimpressed.
But my Izzie Bizzie Boo Boo? Happy as ever in the wrap on my back.
And just as pleased to cuddle up on Teta’s lap.
In her defense Cedella kept complaining about how cold she was. So once we got back to their house and warmed up, she had a miraculous attitude adjustment. Back to her normal baby-sister-harassment.
We had a great night and it was fun to see all the bands and floats, and man, the candy…it was better than the Halloween walk!
Hope you have a great Wednesday and check back in tomorrow to find out why today was just sucky…Happy WW!!

Aww they look adorable in their little outfits. My daughter would love spirit wear even more if there was Hello Kitty on it!

Wow – your daughters have such beautiful eyes. Must take after their mama. As for the parade, you’re a better woman than me. Wrangling babies and the crowd AND the cold? So not my style
Well, except maybe that one time during Chinese New Year. And New Year’s Day… OK nevermind. Guess the kids make crazies of us all!
